I saw this nightie in an ad in the new Russh magazine and instantly fell in love with it, but not to sleep in but to wear as a dress. What do you guys think. Can you wear a
Peter Alexander nightie as a dress? It's only $59 and I think it's totally worth it, I have actually got a PA nightie I wear as a dress already, but is this one too obvious?
no its cool
ReplyDeletei think its a little bit risky
ReplyDeleteit's cute! thanks for the heads up, i might check it out.
ReplyDeletep.s
ReplyDeleteit says in the item description one can wear it as a dress. it has pockets too... mmm very cute! i think i'll definitely be getting this now.
Do it! I can totally see this with leggings or some cute tights depending on the weight of material of the dress/nightie
ReplyDeleteDefinitely. It's so you. Go for it. x
ReplyDeleteHey Hayley! Ahh..as a guy..I wouldn't even know it was a nightie...I would justt thinks its like a long t-shirt kind of dress. I think it could work!
ReplyDeleteAlso..did you ever recieve the t-shirt you ordered of my design in the mail? How did it turn out? I hope it looked ok...let me know...maybe write me on myspace or something.
nooo! It actually doesn't look like a nightie at all.. I love the other one too.
ReplyDeletelol I've done the nightie as dress thing, I think you can totally do it, as long as it's not a super obvious nightie like with the satin and the lace trim at the top and everything.
ReplyDeleteHello, good to see a new post :)
ReplyDeleteYes, this is definitely wearable as a dress!
If you hadn't written anything and just shown the picture with the header 'Good enough to wear out?' there would be no questions about its nightie-like qualities...
Actually, this dress reminds me heaps of the Shakuhachi range of tees.
Definitely wear it out!!
:)
ps. you haven't told your readers yet about how you stumbled upon the facehunter. We want answers! :P
i think its okay! atleast its black and the material looks fine! x
ReplyDeleteI think it's totally wearable as a dress! In fact, when I saw it, I thought it was a dress. :D
ReplyDeleteI have two PA nighties that I wear as dresses, so no, definitely not! His stuff is really lightweight and great for this kind of weather. :)
ReplyDeleteee! I saw this in Russh too, and I love it. i also thought it was a dress at first...
ReplyDeleteI think you could definately get away with wearing it, no one has to know heh heh
No way darling.
ReplyDeleteWear it, it's so cute!!
xx
I'm in awe of your blog! I wish we had more fashionistas like yourself gracing in mags, it'll be unique and creative.
ReplyDeleteI've started a blog called 'Five Foot Nothing' and I'm trolling through the streets of Sydney finding clothes to suit petite girls. It's in its early days, but it can only improve.
i would and have worn nighties as dresses! i had a brilliant plaid one from target which recently died... RIP nightydress :'( and fell in love with one from PORTMANS of all places the other day but couldn't bear to part with $50 for it.
ReplyDeleteyou have the best style and taste, i just want to vomit everywhere... in a really flattering way, of course!!
:3
i don't see how it different to people wearing a slip as a dress..... go for it !!
ReplyDeleteI think it depends on the material. A lot of nighties are made of that cling cling wobble fabric that leggings are made of and makes everyone look gross. But if it's not in that fabric, I'd buy it for SURE.
ReplyDeleteNo one would know, and anyone who did know and saw you wearing it would only be jealous they didn't think of the idea first.
oh i have the shoes of this! :D:D:D
ReplyDeleteYES! You should wear it as a dress! It's awesome and adorable.
ReplyDeleteOh i have this satin floral nightie which i bought for 5 bucks and I wear it all the time as a dress AND as a top and as skirt! So go nighties for daywear! For $59 you might as well wear it for all to see!
ReplyDeleteYou could completely wear it as a dress. I think it would really suit you, its so cheeky and cute :)
ReplyDeleteI remember wearing something similar and never had an issue except one time a girl came up to me and said " You're wearing my pjs" haha! xxx
