Yep that's right, that's all I spent, even though I got given a whole heap of money for Christmas (thanks Mum and Henry's Mum, now I have enough money for Tokyo, wooohooo!!!)
I showed restraint and only bought 3 things, even though I could have and would have normally gone crazy.
This is what I bought:
Ahhh how I love the $5 sale rack at Diva. I never ever buy their stock at full price, I always wait for the sale rack. Their stuff is so cheaply made and always breaks, and if it's anything like Sportsgirl who I hear wont buy from their jewellery supplier unless the items are going to be sold to them for under 50 cents each then even the $5 is giving Diva a mighty profit. This necklace was down from $19.95 to $5, bargain!
My favourite item from the day, Shakuhachi splash dyed gladiator sandals, down from $50 to $15 at MYL boutique. I will show you an amazing outfit with them ASAP! Want to know something funny? I had to photoshop out a huge chocolate icecream drip from my foot I didn't notice untill I looked at the photo just now. How long did I walk around with icecream on my foot? Luckily it missed the shoes.
Lastly I bought this book I have wanted for ever and ever at Sportsgirl of all places. The cheap date guide to style. It was down from $45 to $14.95, another serious bargain. It contains interviews with everyone from Karl Lagerfeld to Chloe Sevigny and even Mischa Barton, not to mention my favourite, the late Isabella Blow.
Ohhh and take a look at what my Mum bought me for Christmas. A keyboard! It even has a stand. Now I can practice piano again (umm I am not very good and I am very rusty) Thanks Mum.
those shoes are sooooo good! $15-total bargain! question-how do you get your blog links to open up in a new page? I'm kinda a newbie...
ReplyDeleteLovely, where did you get the sandals? I could do with a pair of those! I saw some similar at MYL outlet in the walk arcade but ages ago....

The shoes are sensational...you have my Nana's toes...love you, Mum.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! What fantastic finds. And I agree with your approach to Diva. At Witchery I managed to buy $480 worth of stock for $120. Which is pretty enormous. Not close to $34 but for me, pretty good ;)
ReplyDeletegreat shoes! you spent so little money! that's a good thing though. all the more for japan...seriously can't wait to read your posts from tokyo.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog, I've been secretly digging it for ages and have decided to add it to my list!

ReplyDeleteWow~. You got a lot of money for Tokyo!! I got a good news for you. My teacher will take us out to dinner on him. :)
ReplyDeleteThe restaurant will be Fujimama or some other vegetarian restaurants.
Sugoi!!! Bargains are always great. The first two totally fit. I think I might be going back to Tokyo next summer..more on that later..but I totally agree. Let's save for JAPAN!!!!!!! I got tons of Christmas money..but its hard to hold back for me..but it'll be worthy it.
ReplyDeleteExcellent bargains - I love those sandals!
ReplyDeleteCheck out that massive wad of cash - Tokyo won't know what's hit it!

ReplyDeletehayley i saw you last night at the puma achrive party!
ReplyDeleteOh how wonderful to have made you $$ cash quota! My Miss Four has been squirreling away every cent since I told her if she saved for Japan I could take her to Sanrio Town! Great bargains there, I haven't been game enough to hit the shops yet. I don't really have the room for anything else either though. Lol
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh!!!!! Cute shoes!!!! I really want to hit the sales here but I have no idea where to start!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe the stinginess of Sportsgirl as I find them so overpriced as it is.
Have a great new year Hayley!
HAHAHA I spent nothing! I know I couldn't believe it either ahahhhaah! I was going to go into diva but the one in Melbourne Central was packet with fake tanned girls in tiny shorts...
