Alchemy by Melbourne Metal Collective

Photobucket
Alchemy, a group exhibition and pop up jewellery store launched last night in Melbourne at 25 John Bell Lane, QV. The designers featured are all part of the Melbourne Metal Collective, an alliance of jewelers who have come together to support each other's work during LMFF. This sort of collaborative, supportive environment will nurture their talents and personally I find it very exciting to witness. The designers involved in the collective are Estelle Dévé, Hamish Munro, Henson, Van Der Glas and Young Hunting.

The space looks amazing.

  4. For some reason I feel like I should be really creeped out by the hair, but I love it. I wouldn't wear it for myself like that personally, but I once saw a Japanese guy in TUNE magazine that had a necklace with a collage-like big piece of art that had different colors of Barbie hair hanging off of it. IT RULED...I think it was by Zaorick Mochasse..
