Trimapee - Umbilical Ventriloquial
The avant-garde Melbourne label Trimapee held a screening to present their latest AW11 collection Umbilical Ventriloquial. The latest trend in presenting fashion to the masses appears to be film, which may seem odd, because when has a film maker ever created a fashion line? But the fashion industry is always coming up with new and innovative ways to engage with their customers, and innovation is always welcome in my books. Plus Trimapee's film was amazing, filmed underwater the imagery was beautifully serene and captivating. Can't wait till its online to share with you all.
Melbourne people dress so well, it really is Australia's fashion capital.

So cool, it can be a bit refreshing to see such unique and avant-garde styles outside of Tokyo. To be honest, where I live flat out lacks this kind of personal style and truly creative innovation. I'm glad that blogs like yours can keep even rural people who are still creative refreshed and inspired.
ReplyDeleteI feel like Melbournites really just push the boundaries when it comes to new and creative ways of fashion and personal style. I would have had no idea of what appears to be an incredibly strong fashion scene in Melbourne if it wasn't for your blog!
(By the way I realise there is really good avant-garde and personal style outside of Tokyo and Melbourne, I'm just most inspired by Tokyo and anyone who knows about or reads my blog will understand that, haha)
Hi Hayley!
