Autumn tones in Gorman clothes

Photobucket
Sorry about the long absence between blog posts, we moved house and the internet is still yet to be connected at our new place. So my very expensive USB modem is helping bring this outfit post to you. Seriously $30 per 1GB is crazy. Anyway I do think your worth it so expect more posts this week and in the lead up to Rosemount Australian Fashion Week.

Currently I'm obsessed with burnt orange, so when I spotted this dress at Gorman I knew it had to come home with me. I am having trouble styling it how I want with my current wardrobe though. I want to wear it in a tonal outfit of browns and camel but only own tights and jackets in black. The poncho was the only item I currently own which I felt worked with the dress, but the finished looks is a little too vintage-twee for my personal taste. Going to the market with Henry tomorrow so hopefully find something to work back with the dress in my original vision.

Dress - Gorman $199
Poncho - Cotton On $3 from years ago
Boots - Betts $129.99
Velvet Bag - Vintage (was my Nana's)
Specs - Finally got my new prescription and glasses at Specsavers for free thanks to my health insurance. Do you know how good it is to be able to see again?

  15. This outfit is gorgeous! It's very autumny. It's spring here, but I would totally rock that outfit in September. The dress and the poncho ($3, really? I want one!) are fabulous. I love orange too. I always see bronny from fat aus wearing it and it looks stunning on both of you. I recently did a post wearing burnt orange on my own blog, and while such a vibrant colour was definitely out of my normal comfort zone, I actually really liked how it came together and I would totally wear that orange dress again! I would love to hear what you think of my orange dress outfit! www.curvycanadian.blogspot.com

  18. As a ginger, I am all about Autumn hues. I love how you made the tartan and adorable burnt pumpkin hued dress a statement by pairing it with black leggings, bag and adorable flats. So so lovely :)
