Betts kindly sent me a pair of Simpson desert boots $79.99 to help me build up my collection of flats now that I'm off heels for the next few months/possibly forever thanks to my knee injury. The shoes themselves are unbelievably comfy, I've been living in them since I got them. In return I had to snap 5 outfit photos for the Betts Blog "5 Ways to Wear" feature. As regular readers will know, my husband Henry still takes all my outfit photos, and he does so with about as much enthusiasm as a cow off to the slaughterhouse. As he works 9am-6pm all week coming home after dark this leaves us with only the weekend to snap outfits, which isn't much time at all and as I'm not one to change my outfit five times in one weekend lets just say this was a very painful exercise of negotiating on a NATO scale. But we did it without too much yelling, name calling and threatened walk outs and can now bring you an outfit post so epic you all better comment like you haven't commented before!

In other news it was my birthday yesterday and I want to thank everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday, especially to my pals in New York who wished me a very drunken happy birthday from a rooftop party in Greenpoint, that phone call made my day. Thanks Ryan Lobo, Dion Lee, Andrej Pejic and Ebony Fleur, the best of Aussie fashion in one hilarious and confusing phone call which had to be blogged. xoxoxo FASHION Hayley

ReplyDeleteKilling it! I'm always a bit scared of pale shoes with tights, but you've made it work. Might be time for me to workshop a pair of similarly coloured cowboy boots I never wear...
