Limedrop's Calypso Pop-Up

Photobucket
Limedrop, aka my favourite Australian designers and Melb-town buddies, launched their three week Sydney pop-up store last night. Held at the Grand Social's Edition concept store at 214 Crown Street, Darlinghurst with their full SS11/12 Calypso collection on offer and some limited edition pieces thrown in its a must visit for anyone in Sydney.

Photobucket
The calypso theme means the usually minimal Edition is now a tropical. floral paradise.

Photobucket
Limedrop's prints really stand out.

Photobucket
Fittingly (or maybe I should say randomly) Yvan Facehunter is in town as he has actually now been to all three of Limedrop's pop up store launches, which for someone who 99% of the time is not in Australia is quite the feat. Clea from Limedrop and I were joking that for the next one they should just fly him out as its tradition now. Nathan and Clea wear head to toe Limedrop as always, they actually got confused for the models in their lookbooks by Gracie Otto the other night.

Photobucket
Like I said Edition has become a tropical paradise.

The lovely ladies from Capital L.

Mitch has recently moved up to Sydney from Melbourne which is awesome for me and sad for Melbourne peeps.

The bow ties are the perfect gift for that special man in your life. I've already had requests from Henry to get him one for his upcoming birthday.

Claire from MCM PR and Jackie from The Grand Social.

It was lovely to chat to fellow bloggers Jessica from Tuula Vintage and Nicole from Gary Pepper Vintage

Photobucket
Things got a bit floral at this point.

Photobucket
Everyone got in on it.

Photobucket
Lovely ladies. I'm actually testing out a new foundation in the above pic and am pretty in love with it, expect a blog post on it soon!

  5. Limedrop just got SO much more awesome by going Calypso! Sometimes I wonder why Caribbean themes don't get picked up more here in Australia... the climate and laid backness certainly suits... maybe once the Mexican wave is over we can all go Trinidad-mad.

  8. I am also inlove with your cape! Have you dedicated any posts to it I would love to see how it flares out when you lift up your arms... I love seeing you in color, because you are mostly in black it seems most of the time, so the limedrop Shirt/Dress your wearing really compliments your skin tone beautifully. What sizes do limedrop go up to and are the available on the web? Do they ship to the US? Question question question!!

  9. Hi Literal Gemini, so many questions but I have some answers for you.
This is the 1st time that cape has been on my blog, but I do plan on snapping it again and showcasing the amazing detail in it. Limedrop have 4 sizes which are numbered 1, 2, 3 & 4. 1 means S, 2 means M, 3 means L and 4 means XL. The shirt dress I am wearing is a size 2 or M, but the size 1 also fit (but a little snug around the chest/back) as its an oversized cut I can get away with it. Other Limedrop styles of dress are less forgiving but generally the largest size available will fit me. The have an online shop http://www.thegrandsocial.com.au/limedrop and do ship to the USA for $25 registered int express. I hope that helps xxx
