For their Autumn/Winter 'Bush Magic' collection Romance Was Born were inspired by the iconic illustrations and stories by May Gibbs of her Gumnut Babies. A national treasure, the stories of these cherubic Gumnut Babies are part of growing up in Australia with her books being best sellers for generations. I especially loved the stories of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie, and would collect gumnuts from my grandma's huge Eucalyptus tree in her back garden imagining all the mischief the babies that lived inside them would get up to. So of course I just had to buy this amazing dress featuring some of these adorable Gumnut Babies, the fact that it was pink of course sealed the deal. I teamed the dress with my new Gorman baby pink leather jacket that I have had my eye on ever since their runway show. Such an amazing piece just made for me. The rest of the look went down the pink path, and why not? I do love it ever so much!

I recently got my haircut and it wasn't meant to be this short at all, but what can you do except smile?
love this all pink look- did you get to see the Romance Was Born runway show? it was so amazing, they had eucalyptus oil vaporisers, a paper canopy of bush leaves and the sounds of forest birds playing before the show as well as costumes from the Australian Ballet Company inspired by May Gibbs illustrations <3
I wrote about the experience on my blog which you can read here: http://secret-hipster.blogspot.com.au/2015/04/romance-was-born-spring-2015.html
Loving everything about this! I have the bag and the shoes as well and some similar earrings. Your haircut looks so rad as well. A winner look from head to toe. If you agree, I'll future it in my Mai fashion favourite post end of the month. xxx
